Decorative Paint Workshops
Due to the increased interest in "DIY" TV programmes, more and more people are becoming aware of the basics. So while any of the old courses can be reintroduced at any time for group participation, we are now offering two ' fun courses' , encompassing more ground in a day but without going into the usual depth.
The Fun Basic
The Fun Basic will introduce quick and easy ways to revamp a room, using wallwashing or broken colour work. We will use quick-mix plaster to give you a country kitchen look, with stencilling and colour stamping.
The Finishing Touches
The Finishing Touches will give you the confidence to 'go for it', introducing many methods of gilding, crackle varnishing, antiquing, distressing and many more effects, in other words taking the design just that little bit further.
Courses can be organised to suit. Any of the following finishes can be taught: staining to match, hand painting, decoupage, stencilling, rag rolling, dragging, marbling effect, crackle glazing, limed, aged or distressed finishing, plaster-moulding and gilding.
Why not get a group of 6-8 people together and organise a fun day out. The courses run from 9:30am, ending at approximately 3pm. There are breaks for morning coffee and lunch which is provided within the £60 charge for the day. (for special dietary requirements, please notify in advance)
